Amazon's Drone Delivery Is About to Take off
Amazon unveiled a new version of its prime air delivery drone that will soon take to the skies and drop off Amazon packages. The latest version of the Prime Air Drone packs a ton of new tech inside - including autonomy smarts with a bunch of sensors and algorithms powering the drones ability to fly and deliver small packages all on its own. Amazon says this specialized drone is able to fly up to 15 miles and deliver packages under 5lbs to Prime customers in 30 minutes or less. The company has spent time perfecting the mechanics, design, and software to get the drone into the skies sometime soon.
Skype is bringing a new feature to its mobile app that will make family tech support WAY easier - The Skype Mobile app on Android and iOS will not support the ability to share your screen with whoever is on your call. Skype touts this as a way to share slides before a meeting with co-workers, but we all know the perfect use for this is helping a family member with their phone or tablet issues. The feature will be available on any iOS device running iOS 12 and on Android devices today.
Netflix is testing a new feature in its app that brings a little touch of Instagram and a dash of Facebook. The streaming giant has confirmed a small number of users are testing a new “Extra” Feature within the Netflix app that will allow users to “connect more deeply with the titles they love and discover new ones to watch…” Within this new section are special photo and video promos of select Netflix content that can be scrolled through like a feed. No official word on Netflix on if or when this feature will make its way to the masses.
