About Me

Hello there. My name is Robert Rosenfeld and I am a teen tech enthusiast. I am a tech journalist, blogger, podcaster, video editor, web developer, technology consultant, live broadcaster, live video consultant, new media consultant, somewhat of a video engineer, and of course, a total geek!

Here’s a little about me:

I’ve been participating online seriously since about 2006. I started blogging on a  few small networks, getting to know communities, and basically learning more things about technology. I started off being a big video guy. I would shoot small videos since I was 10, and one of the things I loved doing was bringing them to school and to show off to my class. I was also a total LOST fan, so I often made parodies and sequeals of the episodes for my videos. But after a while, I started to get more and more interested in computers and in June of 2007, I made the switch to a mac,

Making that switch to the Mac did a lot of things for me. I learned how to better video edit, I learned my away around a new Operating System, and I also learned about Chris Pirillo. After finally having Wifi available and surfing the web from anywhere, I started to look into learning more things about technology and somehow or another, I stumbled apron live.pirillo.com, home to the most popular man on Ustreeam.tv Chris Pirillo.

Learning more about Chris Pirillo really changed what I did and excelled my thinking. In September of 2007, I went live on Ustream.tv to talk tech. This also opened a lot of doors for me. I would now start to be active in tech chatrooms, I started to learn about IRC (Internet Relay Chat) and learn how to program bots, it was very fun and I made some good friends in the community who I still talk to today, one of those being my web host!

I started broadcasting on Ustream, talking tech, and getting more and more invalid in the growing Ustream Tech Community. And yes, you can still go back and see everyone of those videos I recorded.. Eventualy after a year or so, after being very active in the Pirillo Community, I had the chance to fly up to Seattle and attend Chris Pirillo’s Gnomedex conference.. This is an event that would truly change my life.

After going to this conference I started to do more and more things and eventually, I slowly began to end my 3 year career with Ustream. At this point, Ustream had become covered with ads, and I had other things I wanted to do.  I had 3 wonderful Ustream thanks to that, and with over 3,000 Unique viewers and about 1,500 videos, it was a great ride. But, I did some more.

To fast forward a bit, I have done a lot. I started to learn how to edit video better, I learned Final Cut. I also learned more about web design, the WordPress Eco System and how to get things out of WordPress that I wanted. I also started to listen to Leo Laporte, and really take a passion in broadcasting.

I’ve certainly jumped around over the years. I’ve done months of video editing, months of web development, but one thing I always focused on was tech. I was always keeping up with tech.I joined a few networks suck as GeekTV and the TechWindows podcast network, but those have since faded away, and I’ve continued to do different things.

So, what do i do now?

Well, I still am an active technology enthusiast. I love discussing tech and posting about it on my blog. I also podcast and do a Daily Tech News Wrap Up Show. I am in the process of working on new podcasts, so stay tuned for those!

I also have gotten into the Web Consulting field and have started to help companies make a better, more efficient, user friendly website. Most recently I redesigned my High School’s website and continue to push them to social media.

Speaking of social media, I also consult with companies on how to get them involved  with the new form of communication we’re dealing with today,

I also do al of the video production for my school. I shoot all the activities in HD, edit them in Final Cut, and produce high quality videos showing off the cool events going on.

Jus a  few months ago, in 3 days I took an old closet office and turned it into a full fledge High School TV Production Studio. Live Chroma Keying with a Green Screen, Audio Mixing, Video Production, we do it all. I love engineering news ways to build studios and do things with the love broadcast, and this is something I was able to do. It has the capabilites and felxibiliy to go from a  DVD Plahyback System, to a full fledge live morning newscast to all the classrooms in the school. Fun Stuff!

Besides that, I’m still here on my blog, analyzing tech news stories, podcasting, talking to the tech community, and being a….GEEK!
