How to beat the Heat

3 July 2008 0 views No Comment

I’m sitting with all my lights off. Well all lights but my TIX and Cyron’s LED Lights that sit atop my hutch. You may ask “Why are sitting like this? You like a total n00b!” Well i am sitting like this because I am trying to beat the heat. Because I live in L.A. it is very hot. An example of that is the temperature being 84 degrees at 11:00 at night! 2 weeks ago we had a day average of 112! So here I got a top 5 tip list from a viewer on how to beat the heat.

1. Make sure to drink plenty of water. The worst thing for you i the heat is to get dehydrated. Keep a bottle of water by you everywhere you go through out the day.Dehydration can cause many problems to your body such as sicknesses like stomach cramps ,vomiting, etc.

2. Go swimming. Go to a community pool or a friend’s pool, the beach or the lake. ANywhere you can go to beat the heat and enjoy a nice swim. You can have a great time with friends and still keep nice and wet.

3. Be aware of the lights in your room. Usually in your room you have lights on that produce a lot of heat.Try to keep the lights in your apartment/house/trailer turned off when they are not being used. This will reduce heat in the room and save you money on your electricity bill.

4.Go to somewhere with a/c. A movie theater, a friend’s house, even the community center is a great place to keep cool.

5. Take a nap. It is always nice to get in a little snooze before hitting the town. Lay down and doze off. This is a great way to beat the heat. You will wake up very refreshed and be bready for hopefully a cool night.

These are some great tips that truly will help anyone beat the heat!
